Application Procedures:
(1) To apply for the approval of radio transmission equipment, the following materials shall be submitted:
1. "Application Form for Approved Radio Transmission Equipment Model";
2. A copy of the "Business License of Enterprise Legal Person" of the applicant unit, and an introduction to the production capacity, technical force, and quality assurance system of the applicant unit;
3. Equipment model technical specification or technical manual, circuit block diagram or schematic diagram and instruction manual;
4. A set of color photos of the equipment, which should clearly show the applicant unit, equipment model, equipment serial number, and the structure size of the equipment;
5. The equipment of the foreign applicant shall provide a copy of the certification document of the foreign approval;
6. If the handling unit is an agency application unit, it is required to submit a "Power of Attorney for Approval of Radio Transmission Equipment Models" and a copy of the "Enterprise Legal Person Business License" of the agency application unit;
7. The type approval "Test Report" issued by the testing agency recognized by the Radio Administration for the equipment within six months;
8. The manager of the applicant unit or the agent applicant unit must hold a copy of the company's employee identity certificate and personal valid identity certificate presented by the equipment applicant unit or the agent applicant unit.
(2) The domestic applicant unit or its entrusted agency applicant unit submits an application to the radio management agency of the province, autonomous region or municipality directly under the Central Government where it is located. The radio management agencies of all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government shall complete the preliminary examination within 20 working days from the date of acceptance of the application. If the preliminary review does not agree, the application materials shall be returned to the applicant unit. If the preliminary examination agrees, the application materials shall be submitted to the Radio Administration of the Ministry of Information Industry.
7. Acceptance, review and decision procedures:
(1) The Radio Administration of the Ministry of Information Industry shall examine the application materials received. If the application materials are incomplete or do not conform to the statutory form, the applicant shall be notified on the spot or within 5 working days of the materials that need to be supplemented and corrected. If the application materials are complete and conform to the statutory form, or the applicant submits all supplements and corrections as required, the application shall be accepted and the applicant shall be notified in writing; if the application is not accepted, the applicant shall be notified in writing.
(2) The Radio Administration of the Ministry of Information Industry shall make a decision to approve or disapprove the application for model approval within 20 working days from the date of acceptance. For those approved, the "Radio Transmission Equipment Type Approval Certificate" shall be issued; for those not approved, the applicant shall be notified in writing and the reasons shall be explained.
