In 2026, cybersecurity documents are mandatory. Many applications are rejected for incomplete files.

I. Required Documents (2026)

1. Company & Authorization

·Business license, factory info

·Korean agent authorization + commitment letter (Korean, often notarized)

2. Technical Files

·Specifications, schematics, PCB, antenna design

·BOM with component certificates

·2–3 identical production samples

3. Test & Compliance Reports

·RF test report

·EMC test report

·Cybersecurity test report (mandatory for smart devices)

·Korean Declaration of Conformity

4. Labeling & User Info

·Korean user manual

·Product label showing MIC number

  II. Real Validity Rules

MIC Certification does NOT have a fixed validity period. It remains valid only if:

1.Product design is unchanged.

2.Standards are not updated.

3.Korean agent is active.

4.EESS registration is renewed annually.

Certification becomes invalid if:

·Wireless module, chip, or antenna changed

·PCB or firmware modified

·New standards enforced

·Cybersecurity logic updated

High‑risk products require recertification every 2–5 years.
