2. Validity Rides on Two Lines

Leave those untouched and the effect continues; move them and you go back to the lab on the differential items. Display-related hardware is simply not in scope — changes to screen size, display driver or resolution do not bear on HiPlay's effect.

The protocol version is the second line. Each round of Huawei's major protocol iteration sets an exit point for the old version and phases it out gradually; what it affects is new-model filing and channel acceptance. Whether devices already on sale are affected follows the current notice. Numbers circulating online — "a new version every few months" or "a few-month filing window for the old version" — have no official basis; do not use them for production planning.

3. Which Changes Send You Back to the Lab
