In February 2018, Saudi Arabia officially announced the implementation of the SIRC certification system for some information technology equipment and household appliances, which is also a market access certification program. So what is SIRC? The explanation given by Saudi Arabia is SASO IECEE Accreditation Certification (SIRC). This certification scheme is mainly based on the CB certificate and CB test report of the customer's product, and then the Saudi Bureau of Standards issues the CB certificate, and then the Saudi Bureau of Standards issues the CB certificate to apply for the IECEE certificate. That is to say, if the domestic customer already has a CB, it must be approved by the Saudi Bureau of Standards, and only the CB certificate issued by the Saudi Bureau of Standards can be used. Many customers don't understand why they are switching like this. In fact, this is understandable as there are some differences between countries. So what are ethnic differences? There are more than 200 countries in the world, and each country uses different voltages and frequencies. Some countries use 220 volts, some countries use 230 volts, some countries use 110 volts, which is completely different, so we need to change it. Also, some countries use 50 Hz, and Saudi Arabia's power supply frequency is 60 Hz, so there will be differences. At present, the power frequency of 50 Hz is not recognized by Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has strict regulations and does not accept the power frequency of 50 Hz. We have encountered this problem many times before, that is, the test reports provided by many customers show that the power supply frequency is 50 Hz, which is not accepted by the organization. It has to be 60 Hz. This is why SABS reissues CB certificates because of the differences between these countries.
