2.Select Certification Type
Listing, full, component, or upgrade certification.
3.Pre-Submission Self-Test
Verify RF performance, connection stability, LE Audio, AoA/AoD to avoid retesting.
4.Authorized Lab Testing
·Listing: document review only, 1–3 days;
·Full certification: 2–4 weeks; complex products up to 8 weeks.
5.Submit Documents & Pay DID Fee
3–5 days for system acceptance.
6.SIG Official Review
1–2 weeks; may require rectification.
7.Obtain QDID/DID & Complete Listing
Certification number published in SIG database.
II.BQB Certification Validity (2026 Official Rules)
·Product certification (QDID/DID): PERPETUAL, provided no major hardware/software changes;
·Membership: annual renewal required only for new applications;
·The “3-year validity” myth comes from SIG’s 3-year sampling audit cycle, not expiration.
Major vs Minor Changes
·Major change (re-certify): chip replacement, antenna redesign, protocol stack upgrade;
·Minor change (update only): appearance, non-core firmware patches.
Listing Validity
Tied to the module’s QDID. If the module is re-certified, the listing must be updated.
Maintain documents for at least 5 years for SIG audits.
