-Directive: 2014/35/EU (valid 2026)

-Updated EN standards:

·Lighting: EN 60598-1

Old standards are no longer accepted.

II. Mandatory LVD Test Items

All safety-focused:

·Temperature rise

·Leakage current

·Mechanical strength & stability

III. Product Scope

LVD applies to:

·AC: 50V – 1000V

·DC: 75V – 1500V

Common products:Adapters, chargers, lighting, small appliances, power tools, monitors, car electronics, industrial power units.

Purely mechanical or extra-low voltage products are exempt.

IV. 2026 Practical Rules

·Use latest standards only.

·Complete all tests — partial testing is invalid.

·Provide series difference statements.

·Store technical files ≥10 years.
