SIRIM ST certification has no fixed price; costs depend on product type, scheme, testing complexity, factory audit, and location.

I. Two Core Schemes

·Mode A (BTS/Type 1b): single batch, no factory audit, for SMEs and trial shipments.

·Mode B (PCS): long-term certification, factory audit required, for large-scale exporters.

  II. Main Cost Components

1.Testing Fee (largest portion): ¥12,000 – ¥30,000

·Simple products (plugs, LEDs, adapters): ¥12,000–18,000

·Complex products (home appliances, industrial equipment): ¥20,000–30,000

2.Official Application & Certificate Fee: ¥1,000 – ¥2,000

3.Local Agency Fee (mandatory): ¥5,000 – ¥8,000Covers translation, document submission, local representation, label coordination.

4.Factory Audit Fee (PCS only): ¥20,000 – ¥50,000Includes auditor travel and on-site inspection. Annual supervision: 30–50% of initial cost.

5.Annual Maintenance Fee (PCS only): 30–50% of initial audit cost.
