1. Pre-Assessment & Preparation (1–3 days)
·Confirm product scope (all wireless transmitters require IC ID).
·Select mode: Certification (IC ID), Verification (low-power), SDoC (wired).
·Appoint a local Canadian representative (mandatory for non-residents).
2. Technical Documentation (2–5 days)
Required documents: English user manual, schematics, block diagrams, PCB layout, antenna specs, photos, label design, business license, local rep authorization.Inconsistent parameters result in direct rejection.
3. Sample Submission & Lab Testing (2–4 weeks)
·Testing uses ANSI C63.10-2020 (mandatory 2025).
·Only mass-production samples accepted.
·Tests: RF, EMC, SAR (body-worn), DFS (5600–5650MHz).Failure requires redesign and retesting (+1–2 weeks).
4. Report & CB Review (1–2 weeks)
From June 30, 2025, PMNs must be listed individually. Review covers reports, docs, labels and agency info.
5. Official Registration & Issuance (3–7 working days)
Approved IC ID format: IC:XXXXX-YYYYY. Electronic certificate issued by authorized CB.
6. Labeling & Market Launch (1–3 days)
Label with IC ID, model, brand; min font ≥1mm. Small devices may use package/manual labeling.
